IPv4

In this article we will discuss IPv4, will make brief discussion on IPv4, In last article we discuss about VMware.

An IP address is binary numbers but can be stored as text for human readers. For example, a 32-bit numeric address (IPv4) is written in decimal as four numbers separated by periods. Each number can be zero to 255.

IPv4 (Internet Protocol Version 4) is the fourth revision of the Internet Protocol (IP) used to to identify devices on a network through an addressing system. The Internet Protocol is designed for use in interconnected systems of packet-switched computer communication networks.

An IP address is a set of numbers that identify your computer on a network. IPV4, the traditional numbering scheme, uses four integers ranging from zero to 255 and set apart by periods. For example, “204.120.0.15” is a valid IPV4 address.

WAN address is the IP address that your router uses to connect to the Internet. It is different from IP addresses of computers and devices on a local network, because the WAN IP is essentially shared by all the devices. Your public IP address is the IP address that is logged by various servers/devices when you connect to them through your internet connection.
