IPv6

In this article we will discuss IPv6, will make brief discussion on IPv6 , In last article we discuss about Repeaters.

Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is a network layer protocol that enables data communications over a packet switched network. Packet switching involves the sending and receiving of data in packets between two nodes in a network.

If you don’t have an IPv6-enabled router yet, you don’t need to buy a new one just to get it. An ISP With IPv6 Enabled: Your Internet service provider must also have IPv6 set up on their end. Even if you have modern software and hardware on your end, your ISP has to provide an IPv6 connection for you to use it.

IPv6 addresses look nothing like IPv4 addressesIPv6 addresses are 128 bits in length and are made up of hexadecimal characters. In IPv4, each octet consists of a decimal number ranging from 0 to 255.

An increased number of IT addresses isn’t the only advantage of IPv6 over IPv4. In honor of World IPv6 Day, here are six more good reasons to make sure your hardware, software, and services support IPv6. IPv6 reduces the size of routing tables and makes routing more efficient and hierarchical.
